Jaclyn — Founding CEO + Visionary
Where to eat: Find me this season living and breathing everything Slowside. Keeping life happy and simple with a Happiness Chai Baba tea, paired with a fresh loaf of Focaccia bread to take home and enjoy with my crew in the comfort of home.
What to do: Forever continuing to live life outside, all year long. Daily walks with my dog, enjoying the glorious Winter views of both lake and mountain from Cedar Creek Park.
Favourite OKGN piece to wear: Technically considered Fall 2024, but the new locally hand stitched OKGN Knit is on repeat for me. This thoughtfully designed garment will be a forever cherished and worn classic in my wardrobe year round.
Matt — Operations Manager
Where to eat: BNA is my go-to! Burgers all day, fried rice for dinner, and steam buns for late-night snacking.
What to do: The outdoor rink is officially open and my crew loves to head out for a skate at Stuart park. When it’s too cold and the kids need to burn some energy, an afternoon at Gneiss is the perfect solution (not to mention, it gives me four days of sore forearms).
Favourite OKGN piece to wear: The Black OKGN Lifestyle Tee is so easy to wear as an under layer or dressed up for a night out. My new go to!
Chloe — Marketing Manager
Where to eat: As soon as the weather gets chilly, I immediately crave a big, warm bowl of ramen. My favourite spot is Ramen Arashi and my go-to order is the Arashi Tan-Tan.
What to do: I'm slowly getting into and finding a love for cold plunging. Tality offers the most serene experience bouncing between an ice bath and hot sauna while surrounded by grounding forest views. This spot is going to be on heavy rotation in my winter routine!
Favourite OKGN piece to wear: My newest obsession is the Oak Hoodie! Seriously, I cannot take it off. The oversized fit makes it SO cozy and perfect for the colder days.
Andrew — Shop Lead
Where to Eat: Anywhere with Pizza! My go-to's are Redbird, Jackknife, or King Taps. Barnowl is also a nice spot to play some cards and have a beer. Try the princess Peach, it's so good!
What to do: I'm not a fan of speeding down slopes, so you'll find my wife and I on a snow show trail instead. Telemark in West Kelowna is one of our favourites.
Favourite OKGN Piece to Wear: I'm loving the Pine Community Hoodie. These classic hoodies are so comfy and I'm really digging the earthy green colour in this season. 12/10 recommend!
Madi — Shop Assistant
Where to Eat: It doesn’t get any better than dinner and a movie at Bernie's!
What to do: Anywhere I can snowboard! Usually Big White, but we got our passes at Silver Star this year, so looking forward to shredding a new mountain!
Favourite OKGN Piece to Wear: I love the new Beanies. Anything that covers my helmet hair on the hill is perfect in my books, plus I’m obsessed with the bright colours!
